AAUA Postpones Exams After Students Die In Accident
The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State has announced the postponement of the school examinations scheduled to commence on Monday till further notice following a fatal accident that occurred few metres away from the university’s main gate on Saturday evening which claimed the lives of some students of the school.
This was made known in a statement issued by the Acting Registrar of the institution, Opeoluwa Akinfemiwa.
The statement partly read: “As a mark of respect for our departed students, the examinations scheduled to start on Monday, 24th January, 2021, is hereby postponed till further notice.
“We appeal to our students to remain calm, as the University mourns those that lost their lives in this unfortunate incident.”
It was also noted in the statement that the University and the Ondo State Government are working round the clock to institute permanent solutions to the problem of incessant road accidents along Ikare-Akungba road.
The University commiserated with the affected families, the university community and the Akungba community in general on the sad incident.
