Man Be Gone

In high-pitched voice
She vociferated,
“Love is dead!”
Her heart was wounded –
Needed repair
That she might never get.
Her dead years had been dropped
With a man
Who scented never her presence?
She thought she’d loved,
But for real
It was one-sided.
Into pieces
Like a calabash, her heart was broken.
For the cold shoulder she got from her man
Amid her suffering.
From her love,
She got zilch in return.
For her man had hurled her love like rag
To kiss a fat bone.
“Love is dead!”
She bawled.
“Man be gone!”
She roared in rage.
“Be gone forever!”
Her voice reechoed.
